Mundane No More: Texts and Tomes

This fantasy roleplaying supplement treats libraries and written works as sources of useful knowledge rather than overlooked scenery. It introduces a four-tier system for texts, rules for using books to retrain skills, feats, spells, and other character options, and crafting recipes for tools, weapons, alchemical preparations, and magical items. Game Masters can use texts to provide research opportunities, foreshadow events, address gaps in a party’s abilities, and introduce plot developments. The supplement also includes rules for creating mundane books and a selection of ready-to-use tomes and manuals.
