Mysthea: Volfyirion's threat

A colossal dragon miniature enters play as a roaming threat that anchors in the center of the map and alters island movement and conflict. When triggered by storm cards or scenario events, the dragon advances on the island it faces and launches a shared attack that requires each player to choose between defending, retreating, or abandoning the island. If the dragon is not defeated, it destroys that island and its champions, then nests there; the nest blocks all unit entry for the remainder of the Era. Players who fight and defeat the dragon claim one of the crystals at its base, which can be spent to augment card effects. In combined scenarios, the dragon replaces the usual colossus and serves as the climactic antagonist whose shards are collected by defeating its spawned creatures.
