Roads to Gettysburg

A simulation of Lee’s 1863 invasion of Pennsylvania and the three-week campaign that culminates at Gettysburg. Players command Union and Confederate formations—divisions and brigades with corps leaders—moving along maps that reproduce Maryland and Pennsylvania in summer 1863 at one mile per hex and one day per turn. Scenarios range from short introductory engagements to full-campaign play, with two map sheets showing roads, railroads, rivers, towns, and terrain. Play proceeds in alternating turns using counters, charts, and dice to resolve movement, combat, and logistics; objectives vary by side, from forcing the Rebels back to Virginia to holding Pennsylvania’s agricultural regions.
