The harshest winter in living memory covers the central empire, leaving its people hungry and freezing. In the Wildermark, raiders, nobles, undead, imperial troops, mercenaries and deserters fight for power, scarce supplies and survival. As powerful noble houses struggle for the imperial crown, a returning messianic figure promises to restore strong leadership and a divinely sanctioned emperor. The heroes battle Rhazzazor’s forces and prepare for his announced return while the arrival of spring brings the final decision. This is the third and concluding volume of the Das Jahr des Feuers campaign.
