Samurai Battles

Samurai Battles is a board game for 2–99 players. It plays in 60–90 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 2.

Players command samurai-era forces fighting across modular terrain and elevation tiles representing feudal Japan. Armies are assembled from detailed, historically themed miniatures and deployed on varied battlefields. Two rule systems offer different play: a card-driven Commands & Colors variant models fog of war with command cards, special Dragon cards, and Honor/Fortune tokens that affect activation and luck; an Art of Tactic variant uses simultaneous planning where players secretly write orders and resolve actions at the same time. Both systems focus on unit placement, maneuver, and timing as players outthink opponents to achieve objectives.
