Sinking Yamato

The final battle of IJN Yamato, April 1945. A low-complexity solitaire tactical game in which a single battleship faces three waves of incoming aircraft, each divided into four sub-waves. Players manage preparations, turret facing, anti-aircraft fire, movement and damage control teams, fires, counterflooding, and other emergency procedures. Historical, random, and hypothetical setups are included. The objective is to advance farther along the ship’s final mission than it did historically.
