Players can serve as operatives, soldiers, explorers, smugglers, or investigators while navigating the settled worlds and unclaimed frontier of the Verge. The setting includes a future history leading to the Second Galactic War, details on society and technology, thirteen interstellar nations, and descriptions of frontier worlds and alien mysteries. Gamemasters receive guidance for creating heroes and building adventures involving starship travel, political conflict, criminal investigations, first contact, and exploration.
