This fantasy roleplaying supplement focuses on preparation, improvisation, and making the most of limited resources when facing unpredictable dangers. It includes variant class features for the core classes, a new one-level Apprentice class, twelve prestige classes, spells for several spellcasting classes, and more than fifty feats. New combat maneuvers cover tactics such as disarming, grappling, severing limbs, and using an off-hand weapon, giving characters additional ways to handle difficult encounters.
