The Ming Voyages

Players reenact the Ming treasure fleet era with one player as the emperor seeking to complete seven oceanic voyages while defending China’s borderlands, and the other player controlling three barbarian factions aiming to settle those border regions. Battles in the borderlands resolve with three dice per side, scoring triples, doubles, and singles to compare results; reserved cards allow re-rolls. Multi-function cards provide actions to reinforce armies, launch attacks, and advance voyage objectives, and some plays grant opponents out-of-turn actions that affect timing and strategy. Only the emperor draws new cards and hands are swapped at the end of each turn, so each side can anticipate and exploit the opponent’s options.
