This Earthdawn sourcebook explores Vasgothia, a western land shaped by Theran occupation, the vanished Barrite tribes, and the magical affliction known as the Dread Yearning. Those drawn into the Deep Forest and the Place of ReNaming may emerge as reborn Barrites, resisting the Empire and uncovering forgotten traditions. The book details Theran holdings, local cultures, personalities, treasures, foes, and adventure plots. It also introduces a Discipline variant, a new Path, and two Namegiver races, supporting campaigns involving explorers, rebels, merchants, mercenaries, and agents seeking allies beyond Barsaive.
