Watch on the Oder: January 1945

A hypothetical January 1945 campaign examines what might have followed if German forces used in the Ardennes had instead been sent to the Eastern Front. German corps and Soviet armies maneuver across the front from the Oder River to the Riga-Pinsk line, with each turn representing four days and each hex covering 20 miles. Players alternate turns, choosing whether their forces move before fighting or fight before moving. The German side must attack quickly to weaken the expected Soviet counteroffensive. The game supports two players and can be adapted for solitaire play.
