Days of Ire: Budapest 1956

A spontaneous uprising erupts in Budapest during the final week of October 1956, pitting revolutionary ringleaders against a Soviet commander. One player controls Soviet forces, deploying militia, snipers and tanks and playing headline cards each turn to gain Command Points and trigger effects that shape the campaign. The other one to three players co-operatively play the revolutionaries, collecting cards and recruiting fighters to resolve events, spread across Budapest, and resist security forces. Play unfolds over seven turns with card-driven tempo: the Soviet player manipulates the strategic environment while the revolutionary team divides actions, manages morale and wounds, and fights urban engagements to keep the uprising alive.
