Struggle of Empires

Players take the roles of 18th‑century European powers vying for dominance in Europe and overseas. They build armies and fleets, establish colonies, develop their economies with improvement tiles, and contest control through wars that force players into two fixed alliances for each conflict. Negotiation focuses on choosing alliance partners rather than bilateral betrayal: allied players cannot fight one another during a war, so diplomatic choices shape who becomes enemy or partner. Minor powers, colonial actions, and the risk of domestic revolution add strategic tradeoffs as players expand influence and manage resources.
