Alliances

Players lead superpower nations and their allies in a struggle for global control. The game uses trick-taking, with each trick representing a local conflict over a country. Country tiles show military, economic, and political defenses that must be overcome, and the alliance controlling the most countries wins. Three formats support different player counts: a confrontational two-player game, a three-player game in which one player acts as the ruling empire while the others oppose it as rebels, and a four-player team game between rival alliances.
