Execute a strategy to restore the Union as Lincoln or secure Southern independence as Davis during the American Civil War. This strategic-level game uses seasonal, simultaneous turns on an area map. Recruit and mobilize units, assign generals, manage logistics, and play order cards to activate infantry and cavalry corps or armies. Move by land or sea, defend communication lines with forts, and fight for areas and victory points. Hidden unit information creates uncertainty, while generals can be promoted, reassigned, wounded, captured, or killed. Scenarios cover individual years, multi-year campaigns, or the entire war.
