Barbarians at the Gates: The Decline and Fall of the Western Roman Empire 337 - 476

Card-driven strategic wargame of the last century of the Western Roman Empire. Two players command Roman forces, settled Germanic peoples, usurper emperors, and migrating barbarian tribes across a point-to-point map connected by roads, rough paths, and rivers. Cards activate leaders for movement and sieges, introduce invasions, recruit legions, conduct raids, settle tribes within the Empire, and attempt imperial usurpations. Armies clash as barbarian tribes test the fortified borders and Roman forces use their road network to respond across the Empire.
