Cego

Traditional German trick-taking card game for 3 or 4 players, played primarily in the Black Forest. Players follow suit when possible and must trump otherwise. One player usually competes against the others, bidding for a central hand of face-down cards and deciding how many cards to exchange or discard. Additional contracts include solo play, avoiding tricks, or taking exactly one trick. Scoring is based mainly on the three special trumps and the picture cards.
