Fossilis: Kickstarter Edition

Players excavate a dig site to assemble dinosaur skeletons while evolving a shared fossil bed with shifting terrain. On each turn players use tools and actions to reveal, claim, and score bones, upgrade their labs, and manage limited resources as exposed fossils and obstacles change the board. This edition adds solo play and several small content packs: new meeples and scoring markers, micro‑expansions that modify tools and hazards, a custom plaster wave piece, and additional species and scenario cards to expand setup and objectives.

Fun set collection game with a nice component twist. PROS - Its tactile feel and production value are awesome. The plastic field and tiles do create an experience like no other game does. - Easy mechanics to teach and learn, but still depth enough for gamers to have fun. - A lot of expansions in the KS edition, which are not needed to have fun but probably good to have if you like the game. CONS - Luck may have a big role in some games.
