Hungarian Tarokk

Central European four-player trick-taking tarot game with variable partnerships. Players bid for the right to choose a partner holding a particular high trump, with bids also determining card exchanges and the base game value. Bidding and invitation conventions reveal information about players’ hands, and players may bid only with certain honours. After exchanging cards with the talon, partnerships announce objectives such as winning three-fourths of the points, all tricks, all honours, or the XXI-catch. Announcements and challenges increase their value, while each objective is scored separately.
