Micro-Combat

Pathogens threaten the population of a city, and players take the roles of health authorities working together to protect its inhabitants. The game addresses infectious diseases and the causes and risk factors of antimicrobial resistance. Five randomly selected characters begin with defense points and an innate preventive measure. Players act simultaneously, using prevention measures and medications to counter pathogen cards representing viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites, along with out-of-stock and antimicrobial resistance effects. Across six rounds of exposure, prevention and treatment, infection, and contagion, the group must prevent any character from losing all their defenses.
