A special event hero whose loyalty and ability change from game to game. At the beginning of the game, two loyalty cards determine whether the mercenary acts as a machine, human, or outlaw. As a machine, he can deal direct hits as an assassin; as a human, he can reduce the damage he receives; and as an outlaw, units belonging to either side can provide victory points. He can be used by all factions.
