Rostov '41: Race to the Don

SCS wargame on Army Group South’s late-1941 dash to take Rostov and the Soviet counterattack that follows. Turns represent 3 to 6 days, with battalion- to division-sized units maneuvering across a wide-open map at 2.5 miles per hex. The German player must use limited, overstretched forces to capture Rostov quickly, while the Soviet player conserves strength, disrupts the advance, and prepares to reclaim territory. Includes four scenarios covering the campaign and its major operations.
