Sovereign: Shōgun – Kōkeisha Expansion

This expansion adds the Heir as a new playable role in the struggle for Japan. Unlike the Daimyō, the Heir does not rule a domain directly, but exerts influence through armies, neutral forces, taxes, favors, temples, monasteries, and carefully timed interventions. The Heir can support military campaigns, gather gold, build monasteries, pressure Daimyō into cooperation, and profit from their victories. New components include minor commanders, betrayal tokens, neutral units, bonus cards, and a unique action system, adding negotiation and political tension to the existing conflict.
