Space Race: The Card Game

Players lead competing national space agencies through the early decades of space exploration, acquiring engineers, technologies and programs from a shared tableau called the Universe. Play unfolds over seven rounds; each round players draft cards into their agency and activate abilities by spending one of a limited set of Control Cards. Control Cards determine which of four ability stripes on owned cards may be used that round, so players must plan combinations and adapt to an evolving board as each Control Card can be played only once. The game emphasizes building synergies and engine-like combos while competing for breakthroughs, laboratory development and agency advancement.
