Spire: The City Must Fall

Players portray drow insurgents scheming to overthrow their high-elf overlords in a mile-high, decaying metropolis. The game focuses on urban fantasy-punk themes: living in ruined temples and undercity tunnels, running covert operations, and navigating fragile alliances. Mechanically it uses a streamlined roleplaying system that foregrounds intrigue, subterfuge and sedition. Players form a cell, plan and execute missions, manage risks when using unpredictable magic, and face moral and practical trade-offs as they pursue revolutionary aims. Emphasis is on narrative choices, sacrifice, and the consequences of violent rebellion.
