This expansion adds 164 cards featuring 328 headlines covering news, rumours, and acts of God. A card is revealed before certain stages of play, affecting all players through events such as grain-handler strikes, crop-destroying floods, oil-well fires, mine explosions, earthquakes, typhoons, and disease outbreaks. Rumours can also drive the market prices of grain, oil, and minerals up or down.
