TRUT

A traditional French bluffing game for 2 or 4 players, played with a 32-card deck valued from 1 to 8. Each player receives three cards and must win at least two of the three tricks in a round. At any point while holding cards, a player may announce “Trut!” verbally or by clapping the table, claiming confidence in victory. The opposing team must either concede or accept the challenge, with the result affecting the score. Rounds play in a few seconds, and a full game usually lasts 5–10 minutes. A modern edition also includes cards with special effects.
