Players lead one of six interstellar civilizations in a struggle for galactic control through political intrigue, warfare, trade, and technological development. The modular hexagonal galaxy creates a different map for each game, while players use faction abilities, action and political cards, and evolving technologies to pursue victory. This edition introduces new components, a revised technology system, additional cards, new racial abilities, and updated victory conditions.
