Refight the decisive middle phase of the Eastern Front from July 1942 to July 1943 in this strategic game. Players command German and Soviet forces across a map stretching from Leningrad to the Sea of Azov, with turns covering one or two months and units ranging from divisions to armies. Randomly drawn chits determine which side moves and attacks, with different chits changing the order and effectiveness of operations. Players choose strategic plans while maintaining reserves to respond to enemy actions or exploit opportunities. Victory can be assessed at three points during the game, including the end of the German offensives and the final campaign.
