Members of a mysterious order work together to complete missions and gain recognition as a tax-exempt religion, while hidden defectors undermine the cause. Each round, players exchange Virtue cards, attempt missions, recruit Disciples for special advantages, and assign Shame to suspected traitors. At several points, Defectors secretly create crises of faith to sow suspicion. The True Believers win by completing more missions than they fail; otherwise, the Defectors prevail.
