Dawn of Battle

Bring ancient and medieval armies to battle across 3000 years of historical scenarios. Players command forces led by figures such as Xerxes, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Saladin, and William Wallace. Leadership determines activation points used to maneuver, rally, and attack. An action deck resolves command, movement, special effects, and combat, while twenty scenarios recreate battles featuring infantry, cavalry, missile troops, elephants, war wagons, and other specialized units. Supplementary rules cover free deployment, barbarian charges, command control, impetuous behavior, elephant panic, and random events.
