Europa

A Reversi variant played on an empty 8×8 board with black and white disks. In the first phase, players place disks on empty spaces that are not orthogonally adjacent to an opponent’s disk, or pass. After both players pass consecutively, the placement restrictions are removed and standard Reversi captures apply: disks are placed to enclose one or more opposing disks in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, which are then flipped. Play ends when the board is full, and the player with the most disks of their color wins.
