In the late 22nd century, people spend their lives in sensory worlds while hackers threaten the virtual net. Players take the role of private detectives specializing in these digital spaces and investigate cases linked to the attacks. Each player chooses a detective, gathers clues and equipment, acquires skills, and builds a reputation to access additional cases. Corporate investigations may involve cooperation or conflict. The game ends when a player collects enough clues to stop the hackers, or when the damaged Net is shut down and everyone loses.
