Take Stock

Players build portfolios of five different companies by playing numbered share cards either into the public market or into their personal holdings. The market is represented by rows of starter cards; the highest-numbered card in each row sets a stock’s current price, and players can raise prices by adding higher cards to those rows. Cards played to a player’s tableau count as certificates of 1–3 shares. Separate market event cards trigger effects such as splits, crashes, freezes, audits, option gains/losses, and broader market swings that alter prices or player options. After each round players may exercise option tokens to acquire extra shares, and scoring multiplies each stock’s closing price by the shares held. The game runs four rounds, and the highest total score wins.
