The Battle of Rosebud Creek

A historical wargame depicting the June 1876 battle between General George Crook’s Southern Column and Sioux and Northern Cheyenne forces during the Great Sioux War. Players command U.S. cavalry companies, Native American units, and individual leaders across a map where each hex represents a quarter mile and each turn covers 20 minutes. The battle’s tactical outcome is inconclusive, but ammunition shortages, horse losses, and exhaustion can force Crook to withdraw, affecting the wider campaign.
