The Gates of Medina (fan expansion for Medina)

This fan expansion adds gated openings to the city edges and gives each player a gate token to place during the game. On a turn a player may spend an action to place a gate adjacent to an existing wall (not adjacent to a tower) and only if the adjacent board space is empty or contains a merchant; each city side may hold only one gate. A placed gate halts extension of the wall it adjoins, prevents buildings or stables from being built against it, but still allows merchants to be placed beside it; the opposite wall on the same side may continue to be extended until it reaches the gate.
