The Pikeman's Lament: Pike and Shot Wargaming Rules

Recreate the action and drama of 17th-century warfare on the tabletop. Create an officer, build a company from infantry and cavalry units, and lead it through skirmishes and raids inspired by the Thirty Years’ War, the English Civil Wars, and the Great Northern War. Campaign play lets officers gain honor, earn promotions, and develop traits as they command companies of 6–8 units. Fast, decisive games use streamlined rules for dramatic clashes between pike, shot, cavalry, and other forces of the period.
