The White Tribe: Rhodesia's War 1966-1980

Solitaire simulation of Rhodesian counterinsurgency and the political pressures of late-colonial rule. Players act as the White government, managing military operations against a Black guerrilla movement while concurrently shaping domestic policy, courting European settler voters, and negotiating with foreign powers. Gameplay balances combat actions, election cycles, legislative choices, and diplomatic signaling; advancing reforms improves international standing and African opinion but risks alienating settler support and provoking sanctions or strikes. Strategic attention to Mozambique and the region’s instability affects logistics and security, forcing tradeoffs between coercion, concession, and coalition-building to attempt a transition toward majority rule while containing extremists.
