Western Desert

A two-player historical wargame covering the campaigns in Egypt and Libya from December 1940 to January 1943, along with related operations in Malta, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Crete, and Sicily. Players command Axis and Allied forces, including Italian and British armies, Rommel’s Afrika Korps, and aircraft organized by type and model. Units are represented individually as battalions, regiments, brigades, and divisions, with historical strengths and capabilities. Movement and combat take place across detailed maps featuring more than a dozen terrain types, using the Europa system with rules tailored to the desert campaign. The game can be played independently or combined with other Europa Series games.
