WWII Commander: Volume Two – Market-Garden

Fast-playing introduction to war games set during the Allied airborne and ground offensive in Holland in September 1944. Two players command opposing Allied and German forces across an area-based map, activating units to attack, defend, seize objectives, and control the highway corridor. The Allied player must coordinate airborne landings with an advancing ground force, while the German player delays the advance and attacks isolated airborne units. Variable weather, river assaults, polder terrain, ferry movement, concentric attacks, and German off-map movement shape the battle. Simple rules and constant interaction support games completed in one sitting, with solitaire play also possible.
