Kingdom Crossing
Players act as project planners working to connect four regions of a small kingdom by constructing an eighth bridge across the Crystal River. On each turn they move workers around the map to recruit artisans, gather materials, and place decorative elements, building an engine of resources and abilities over the course of the game. Movement and placement are constrained by bridges: no single bridge may be used more than once per day, forcing route planning and timing. Gameplay blends engine-building with programming-style planning, and includes a solo Automa system with multiple difficulty levels.

Do I have to buy a card when my Worker stops in a region? What if I can’t afford any card — can I still Work?
You must purchase a card from the region you stopped in as the first step after moving; if you are not able to do so, you must choose Rest instead of Work (page 9).
When are Bird tokens placed and when do I resolve them?
Birds are placed in the Morning phase on each card of their region (page 8); if there is a Bird token on a card you stop on, you resolve its bonus immediately and place the token face-down next to your board (page 9), and the possible bird effects are listed on page 19 (page 8, 9, 19).
Can I use the Balloon in the middle of crossing bridges to avoid placing Paw markers?
No — the Balloon may be used only when choosing a Work action, either before or after placing Paw markers for that movement, but never in the middle of your movement (page 10).
Do I always place a Paw marker when I cross a bridge, and what happens when I place my 6th or 7th Paw marker?
Yes — when you cross a bridge during a Work action you place one of your Paw markers on it as a reminder (page 8); placing your 6th Paw marker immediately gives you 3 VP and placing your 7th immediately gives you 4 VP (page 9), and some card abilities reference how many Paw markers you placed that round (page 16).
When can I claim Bridge goals, and is there a special rule for 2-player games?
You may claim one or more Bridge goals after performing an Action (Rest or Work) or at the end of your Evening phase; place your Goal marker on the leftmost available spot and score the VP shown (page 11). In a 2-player game the second player always places their Goal marker on the 3rd position (page 11).
How does the Invest track work during the game and at the end?
When you perform an Invest action you either move your Invest marker one space or take the coins shown by your marker and return it to the leftmost space (page 6–7). At the end of the game you may spend 5 coins to advance the Invest track one space (page 12), and you score VP equal to your final Invest marker position (page 12).
