The Battle of Versailles

Two teams reenact the 1973 Paris fashion showdown, with one side representing the established French houses and the other the emerging American designers. Players spend action points each round to play cards that present dresses, court celebrities, spread gossip, or fund palace reconstruction. The French team takes more actions per round, reflecting a longer, traditional show; the American team has fewer actions but focuses on innovation and stealing prestige. Victory depends on differing objectives: maintaining or stealing prestige, controlling influential celebrities, showcasing design innovations, and contributing to the restoration of Versailles.

Excelente juego para dos jugadores. Fácil de aprender pero no de dominar. Un tira y afloja constante muy entretenido. Altamente recomendado. Lo que menos me gusta es el diseño, no porqué no me guste las ilustraciones (porqué me gustan) sino por los colores escogidos, demasiado pastel, poca variedad de vestidos (se repiten mucho), al igual que algunas cartas que son idénticas y en mesa queda sosete, como si fuese un diseño en pruebas. El tablero de versalles está bien pero me hubiera gustado algo más compacto que permitiera poder llevarte el juego para viajes.
