Crown of Roses

A strategic block wargame set during the Wars of the Roses in 15th-century England. Players lead rival noble houses, raising armies, gathering supplies and prestige, recruiting allies, influencing local gentry, and maneuvering to attack enemy forces. Action cards provide multiple options, while hidden block strength creates fog of war. Combat reflects unit experience, and random events alter the course of the conflict. Players can pursue victory by eliminating opposing heirs, gaining control of Parliament and the crown, or building enough local influence to secure popular support. The game supports two to four players.
