The game models royal households, military campaigns, diplomacy, and provincial governance as each ruler deploys family members, friends, and advisers to lead armies, conduct missions, and administer territories. Conflict with rival great kingdoms, rising minor states, restless leagues of cities, and external incursions creates competing strategic pressures. Players balance warfare, alliance-making, and internal management to expand influence or preserve autonomy over a landscape of shifting power.
