Lunar Base

Players compete to build the most formidable moon base by connecting module cards that share matching orb halves to expand their station. Each player starts at a unique base and adds modules, recruits agents who provide one-shot effects or disrupt opponents, and manages resources across multiple paths to victory. The game ends when a player meets one of four victory conditions: colony growth, scientific advancement, accumulating lunar credits, or highest influence. Play emphasizes tactical card placement, chain-building, and timing of agent plays in a medium-light, quick-to-learn strategy format.

An interesting and agile card game. PROS - The mechanic feels clever while remaining pretty easy to teach and learn. It gives many interesting decisions to the players. - The different ways to victory open distinct strategies to pursue and can give the game unexpected turns and grand finales. - It is really fast (10-15 minutes) between 2-3 players when everybody knows the game. - The graphic design is pretty good and the box art is fantastic. Plus it is a really small box! CONS - Some players may find the end too abrupt or find the game too short. - Some players may dislike the take-that aspect of the game, but some elements are balanced around it and I do not think it is an issue.
