Horse & Musket: Dawn of an Era

A simple tactical game system covering the development of musket warfare from the relief of Vienna in 1683 to the early eighteenth century. Players command forces in battles across western Europe, including Sedgemoor, Blenheim, Narva, Poltava, and Malplaquet. The system depicts the transition from pike formations to bayonet-equipped infantry through scenarios based on historical engagements from 1683 to 1720. Each battle presents distinct armies, terrain, and tactical challenges.
