A wargame simulation of the German First Panzer Army’s encirclement and breakout in Ukraine during spring 1944. Over two weeks, German forces conduct a mobile defense while moving west to meet a relief force attacking eastward, despite shortages of fuel and ammunition, difficult terrain, swollen rivers, mud, snow, and Soviet pressure. Turns represent one day, with battalion- to division-sized units maneuvering across 5.5-kilometer hexes. The game includes air supply and air-sector operations, and uses a full-color map, counters, charts, and a six-sided die.
