Ninety-Nine

Traditional adding card game where players play cards to a shared pile and announce its running total. Aces through nines add their pip values, tens subtract ten, jacks and queens leave the total unchanged, and kings set it to 98. Players draw a replacement after each play, and the direction of play may change. The total must not exceed 98; a player unable to play loses a life, and the first to lose three lives loses the game.
