Players try to collect matching card pairs. The player left with the Rat King card at the end loses and must chug their drink as a penalty. Setup: Remove the 8 regular rat cards; keep only 1 Rat King in the deck. Shuffle and deal the cards – it’s fine if not everyone gets the same number. Players check their hands and lay down any pairs face-up. If someone has 3 of the same card, only 2 are laid down, the third stays. Gameplay: The player holding the Rat King starts, announces it, and drinks two finger-widths of their drink. The player to their left randomly draws one card. If they can form a pair, they lay it down. If they draw the Rat King, they must announce it and drink two finger-widths. Play continues clockwise. Every time the Rat King changes hands, the new holder must take a drink. Winning & Losing: A player who plays all their cards or has their last card drawn is out and safe. The player left with the Rat King at the end loses and must chug their entire drink. Important: If playing with alcohol, drink responsibly, stay hydrated, and NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE!
