Shakespeare: The Bard Game

Players act as play managers, mounting productions at theaters over a set period. They buy scripts from Shakespeare and gather the required props, actors, and patrons, paying for resources with shillings. Funds come from performing speeches for audience-selected rewards, answering Shakespeare questions for increasing payments, or busking for five shillings and a fate card. Completed plays earn acclaim points, and answering a question at a great house can provide an extra patron or additional money.
